After the success of newcomer festival '2Q' in Derby just last April, this autumn the fresh inner city music event will make its way to the nearby traditional city of Lincoln. With an expanding student population, and a heaving city centre full of lively bars, clubs, and live music venues just a short walk away from each other, Lincoln is no doubt an ideal location for the one day festival.
It’s fair to say that lineup expectations were high after Sheffield legends Milburn, VANT, Temples, and festival veterans Pulled Apart by Horses played at 2Q Derby earlier in the year.
Today (11th July), the first ever 2Q Lincoln performers were unveiled, including two of the festival’s headliners: Liverpool's Circa Waves and Worcester glitter-rock outfit Peace. For the former, a change in sound and direction from debut to second album has only made Circa Waves an even more monumental force in British alternative rock, whilst Peace have recently awoken from a short slumber with their appearance on the NME/Topman student tour.
Other acts who will be performing on the 28th October include Busty And The Bass, Marsicans, Jerry Williams, Trash, and Sean Blakey. We couldn't help but dig their unveiling of its first set of performers too, which you can watch here!
For a festival with huge names and a variety of kooky music venues hosting artists, the asking price of £22 for ticket (prices includes the booking fee per ticket) is a bargain that cannot be missed; tickets are expected to sell very quickly, so make sure you get yours ASAP right HERE.
